Difference between Karate and Aikido Video

Karate is a very skilful well respected art and this video’s purpose is only to demonstrate the differences between Aikido and other Martial Arts like Karate. Aikidoka are distinguishable by the black hakama (traditional Japanese riding pants).

The founder of Aikido, Master Ueshiba, said that this form was “The Art of Peace”, with the whole idea being to return all situations to a state of harmony.

Aikido is considered suitable for all people young and old, as high levels of strength and fitness are not necessary to protect ourselves.
